One more post and I'll smoosh a few pictures, including my new haircut.

Kylie was asking Mike about how she was supposed to choose a husband, and how he chose me. He said a few things and she said, "and she had good eggs." We'd just watched March of the Penguins (kids and Mike watched, I zoned mostly out) and Mike was wondering if she'd picked that up, or if I'd had "the talk" with her. He was like we'll have to ask mommy, because he didn't know what to say. It took me a few minutes, but then I remembered Mike jokes he married me after eating scrambled eggs I cooked for him, because he'd never had eggs so good. I thought it was funny, so I'll share, even if none of us will look at scrambled eggs the same way again.

Kylie wanted a littlest pet shop cake, so I made this cake. Sometimes you have a picture in your mind and it turns out crappy, but this actually turned out cuter than I expected. My little girl is so old--what does that make me?

Sydney is the funniest little girl. Now that she wears underwear, she likes to say, "Hey, mom are you ready to see my bum?" Then she moons me. She also loves Poker Face, by Lady Gaga, and requests it so much that I never want to hear it again, but can't bring myself to change it because of how excited she gets - that dimple is in full force whenever she grins. She also loves All my single ladies, and does quite the dance to it. Kylie is officially out of Kindergarten. Brody is entertained by his sisters, so that should help him be happier. That's our news for now. I can't wait to enjoy summer!

This is a picture of Sydney and her fabulous doll birthday cake.

Good moms teach their kids to hit the bottle early.

Some pictures of us holding Brody.

Here are a few pictures of Brody. He's getting big and chubby. I'll try to get some pictures of Sydney's birthday up soon.

A few mini videos of Sydney and Brody.

Here's our new addition. Brody Paul Madsen was born on December 9th, 2008. His sisters love him! He really doesn't always have his pacifier in. Guess I need to get a few pictures without it. I feel quite proud that I'm updating my blog so quickly. Merry Christmas everyone.

We set up our Christmas tree already. I usually wait until December is a few weeks in, but since this baby is going to make it harder to keep a schedule, decided to put it up early. Besides, waiting was killing Kylie. She's super excited to have a baby brother. Sydney's excited because Kylie is; we'll see how excited she is once she sees how noisy he is, and how much mommy is tied up by it. Sydney is hillarious as usual. I can't believe my girls are so big. The only thing getting me through this baby is that it's the last one. I keep chanting it constantly. He should be born on Dec. 9th. I've been so excited to get him out, that I temporarily forgot which exit they use to get here. I'm really dreading that part. I'll try to post some pictures and updates once I get semi-back to normal. Maybe this kid will never cry and sleep through the night. That could happen right? Well, here's hoping the holidays are more fun than stress for everyone. I still can't believe I'm having a boy. This is going to be interesting.

Kylie is well into Kindergarten now. Sydney and I were walking her to school and a couple of boys were walking behind us. One of them was like, "hi Kylie." I asked her who he was and she said that she didn't know his name, but everyone knew her name. I think she has her father's problem with names. She seems to be liking it though and I've enjoyed some one on one time with Sydney. She's always preferred playing with Kylie, which I liked, but now that option is gone, she tells me lots of funny things. She's also made record messes without her sister to tell on her. Mike is also busy with school-both work and college-and I hate it. He's never here and when he is, he's working on grading papers or homework. I'll probably be slightly crazy after the baby's born. I might start asking people that walk by my house to come be my friend. This kid better be an easy baby or I'm screwed. Well, that's us for now. Look at how much blogging I've been doing. Now I better get something else done.

While I'm on here, I might as well post another picture. If anyone knows how to do the slide show thing, let me know. I'm too lazy to figure it out on my own. Sydney got into her sister's makeup and look at what a good job she did. She seems to think chapstic and lipstick go on the chin.
I told some of you about the pink tulle skirt I was making for Kylie. The pictures turned out shady even though they looked good in my camera. Oh well, here my two ballerinas are. I'm starting the patience-testing task of potty training Sydney. We just started two days ago, and I'm still not sure she quite gets it. Hopefully she'll catch on soon. I take her to "potty" constantly and she manages to go shortly after-in her pull-ups-without fail. I just don't want two kids in diapers, so she has till December to figure it out.

So I'm getting some flack for not blogging. It's just a time sucker and I feel like I don't have enough time to do everything it is. Sure I take the time to read Breaking Dawn in two days, but it's portable. Well, my update is that I'm getting bigger by the day and this baby boy is already kicking way too hard. Other than that, I'm sending my baby off to school (so she's five, but she's still my baby and way too precious to be around bratty kids) and Sydney is going to be lonely. We'll make it somehow I'm sure and at least Kylie is excited about it. I have a feeling my house is going to be alot messier without Kylie's help. My sister had twin girls-who look nothing like each other-and I was lucky enough to go to the promised land, where parking enforcers attacked me and I stared at each couple out thinking that my sister was way cuter than the girl's these stupid guys keep choosing. Other than that, I got my first non-rejection letter for my latest novel. An agent wanted to see more and while I'm trying not to get too excited, it was nice not to get a full-out rejection. Well, that's me for now. I'll try to post some updated pictures sometime when the camera and cord aren't on the other side of the room. I'm feeling lazy and you all are just lucky I took the time to write this. Thanks to my roommates who forced me, against my will I might add, to do this. Now that everyone's doing it, at least I have one halfway up and running.
